Palacongressi

In its first construction in 1939, by the architect F. Chiaromonte, this Pavilion hosted the exhibition of Culture, Propaganda and Health. Severely damaged by the bombings of World War II, it was rebuilt in 1952 and named the Merchant Navy Pavilion; then from 1957 to 2000 it was the seat of the Higher Institute of Physical Education.

In 2012, Mostra d’Oltremare renovated the entire structure, dedicating it to conference activities. The Palacongressi is spread over a total floor area of ​​approximately 6,000 m2 (including storage and service areas) and an outdoor area of ​​approximately 5,000 m2. On the ground floor, it has a service area consisting of: reception, cloakroom, luggage storage, secretarial and exhibitor spaces (sponsor areas).

The entire building is located on the sides of the majestic Fontana dell’Esedra, an imposing fountain surrounded by greenery that, with its 900 m2 of total surface area, 12 cascading pools and 24 scenic fountains, flanks the building, offering all guests a unique and evocative panorama.
